René Roubicek was born in 1923, this Master glazier, started to arrange exhibitions in 1958. That very year, he got a big prize from the Universal Exhibition in Brussels.
    
“During the great exhibition of Brussels in 1958 – I enclosed the following text to my works  Glass – Today’s art
We can with full satisfaction see that the last 50 years gave a full significance to these words, which used to be somewhat demagogic”.

His personal collection includes several prizes and his works can be seen in museums in the Czcheque Republic, in the Netherlands, in Germany, in the USA, in UK and in Switzerland.
